This tour offers an authentic Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing) experience in Japan, the birthplace of this wellness practice.
Shinrin-Yoku, which originated in Japan, is now recognized around the world as a gentle, nature-based activity that nurtures both people and the planet.

As you breathe deeply in the quiet forest, opening your senses and connecting with nature, the stress and fatigue of daily life naturally melt away.
More than just a relaxing experience, Shinrin-Yoku is also a regenerative activity—one that gives back to the forest while helping you return to your true self.

Our experienced guide will gently lead you through the forest, introducing you to the principles and practices of Shinrin-Yoku.
Even if it’s your first time, you can join with ease and peace of mind.

  • 9:00 Meet at JR Hotaka Station or JR Akeina Station
    Move to the forest, preparatory exercise, about forest bathing,
    10:00 Start forest bathing
    11:30 End forest bathing→move on

35,000 yen per person (tax included)

Included in the participation fee:
Guide service, snacks, tea, and transportation to and from the forest (pick up and drop off in guide's car).
*If there are more than 4 people, a jumbo cab will be rented separately, which will cost extra.

What is not included in the cost:
Transportation from your home to the meeting place, shopping, food and drink, etc.

Karasugawa Valley Forest

The Karasugawa Valley Green Space is a Nagano Prefectural Park consisting of two areas, the "Waterfront Area" and the "Forest Area.
The purpose of the park is to conserve and utilize the diverse natural environment, including plants and animals that grow along the Karasugawa River valley, which originates from the Mt.
Chogatake, and to preserve and utilize the diverse natural environment of flora and fauna growing along the Karasu River valley. Visitors can enjoy the rich vegetation and various forests.

Mt. Nagamineyama

Mt. Nagamineyama is a 933-meter-high satoyama beloved by local residents.
The summit offers a spectacular view of the Northern Alps and the Azumino countryside.

Akashina abandoned railway line site

After the abandoned railway line of the former Japanese National Railways (JNR) Shinonoi Line in Akashina, Azumino City, commonly known as the "Abandoned Railroad Tracks".
The forest of 30,000 zelkova trees is an easy and pleasant forest to walk through.

1. Cancellation 11 days prior to the start of the tour: Free of charge
2. Cancellation 10 days prior to the start of the tour (excluding 3~6): 20% of the tour fee
3. Cancellation 7 days or more prior to the start of the tour (excluding 4~6): 30% of the tour fee
4. Cancellation on the day before the start of the tour: 40% of the tour fee
5. Cancellation on the day of the tour (except for item 6): 50% of the tour fee
6. Cancellation after the start of the tour and no-show: 100% of the tour fee

Precautions and Conditions of Participation

We will take a leisurely stroll through the forest. Please consult with us in advance if you are with children, in a wheelchair, or have visual or hearing impairments.
Please avoid wearing perfume, hairdressing products, and other strongly scented items. (To prevent attracting bees).
Long sleeves and long pants are recommended to protect against insects and injury.
