Located on the ridgeline from Nishi-hotaka-dake to Yake-dake, it can be accessed relatively easily using the Shin-hotaka Ropeway.
As a mountain climbing base to Nishi-hotaka-dake, it is especially busy during the summer season, but it is also known as the only year-round open hut in the North Alps.
There are no dangerous spots up to the Doppyo in front of Nishi-hotaka-dake.
Many climbers are relaxing on the terrace in front of the excellent cabin.
