Introduction to Mountain Huts

It is built at the junction point where the mountain trail leading from Tatami-daira to Mt. Ken-gamine which is the peak of Norikura Mountains.

As well as climbing Norikura-dake, it is also popular as a base for walks in flower gardens, observation of sunlight, astronomical observation, summer skiing and snowboarding.

If you get off the bus and start walking immediately, you will be at increased risk of getting altitude sickness. If you start taking action after taking a break for 30 minutes to 1 hour until your body gets used to altitude, the risk will be reduced considerably.
