Introduction to Mountain Huts
A Historic Mountain Hut with Over 100 Years of Legacy
Established in 1919, Jōnen-goya is a mountain hut with more than a century of history, located at the Jōnen-nokkoshi pass between Mt. Jōnen-dake—one of Japan’s 100 famous peaks—and Mt. Yokotoshi-dake.
Its terrace and dining room offer sweeping views of the iconic Mt. Yari-gatake ridgeline—an unforgettable panorama.
With the heartfelt wish that “everyone who climbs Mt. Jōnen-dake and spends a night under the same roof at Jōnen-goya will descend safely, carrying good memories,” our staff is dedicated to supporting a comfortable and meaningful mountain experience for all.
